Description
This is the full set of NESS - Phosphor prints by Stanley Donwood. Each print if from an edition of 44 screenprints co-published with Stanley Donwood. All prints have been produced using specialist inks and techniques to give a little nod to the history of Orford Ness. Through these techniques and inks, when the lights go out, areas of the print glow in the dark.
Exposure to either bright sun light or a good over head light source, allow the base layer to 'Glow in the Dark'. With more exposure to light the stronger this effect works.
All these prints are taken from the drawings that were used in the letterpress and subsequent Penguin editions of Ness, Stanley Donwood’s collaboration with author Robert Macfarlane.
