This is a view from Nahikari's window in Guachaca, Colombia. The painting relates to a body of work produced in response to the effects of the Covid lockdowns and the connections formed between friends and artists online.
Looking both outwards and inwards, this series invites us to see the spaces around us afresh. The colour and light within the painting transport the viewer to another world. The warmth of the sun and the scents carried on the air are all here when you look at this work.
