Milk and Blood is a small, loose watercolour by Davies, a wash of tone and pigment that showcases her wonderful brushwork, tonal sensitivity, and expressive mark making.
 
The piece depicts a polycephalic hound, a recurring figure within the artist’s portfolio. Its heart, brain and arteries are laid bare, while a single human-like hand suggests an intriguing duality.
