Title
Kate Moss Post-Card by Banksy
Description
This is a Kate Moss Post-card by the British artist Banksy. The artist used this postcard to promote his Crude Oils: A Gallery of Re-Mixed Masterpieces, Vandalism and Vermin show in London 2005.
An original stencilled canvases was rumoured to be given to the UK model as a wedding present after which the artist produced a wedge of prints for sale at his show.
This is a collectable postcard and has a classic coated side (Kate's mush) and a matt back containing the shows details and the usual areas for postage information and a stamp. A very nice example of the artist’s ephemera.
The history of its ownership is equally interesting. A close Brighton friend and major collector, Syd, gifted the gallery part of his street art ephemera collection when he began thinning it out. In exchange for some bespoke framing, we received a selection of pieces of Banksy ephemera from Stickers to a promotional poster by the British artist, plus some tasty Keith Haring stickers.
Syd visited all of Banksy's art show's from early ones to Dismaland etc. His collection contains a clutch of the artist work. Syd had us frame up a stunning set of signed Polaroids from night out with Keith Haring, which now hang amongst his vast collection of world art, gathered over fifty years. Thanks, Syd.
This postcard is a crisp example without marks or dings.
