Description
Gweth is one of the artist’s original pieces from an upcoming book. A stunning ink on paper with a watercolour wash, it is a perfect example of the artist’s skill in both line and colour. The work is signed on the reverse.
 
The piece forms part of the artist’s wider fantasy storytelling practice and draws on his rich background in writing and narrative. Gweth is one of the characters from a story nearing completion for publication,  a figure from Lamerton’s world of myth and imagination.
 
Lamerton’s work is a vibrant blend of classic illustration with a traditional sensibility, rooted in medieval illumination, fantasy and surrealism.
